The 10 best 3 cushion game innings

We continue with the series of articles about great moments in the history of billiards. We already covered Pool and Snooker, so today we talk about the most known carom billiard mode: 3 cushion game. You won’t be a total billiard player until you have not watched over and over again these 10 stratospheric shots.

 Frederic Caudron

1- Roland Forthomme, 28 (Dutch League, 2012)

28 entries in one single inning. In 2012 the Belgian player Roland Forthome equaled the carom world record in 3-cushion game achieved by Junichi Komori in 1993 and Raymond Ceulemans in 1998. No one has beaten it, but in 2013 Frederic Caudron again managed to equal it.

2- Dick Jaspers, 22 and 10 (French Championship, 2011)

Typically anyone wins a game with 2 innings of 22 and 10 caroms. But Dick Jaspers was not satisfied. Opposite was the great Frederic Caudron, which ended the 50 caroms in 13 innings.

3- Torbjorn Blomdahl, 42 on 3 innings (Agipi Billiard Masters, 2012)

Formidable game of the Swedish player Torbjorn Blomdahl, who scored 42 entries in just 3 innings. With a run of 20, another of 9 and another one of 13, he defeated Korean Sung Won Choi in the semifinals of the Agipi Billiard Masters 2012.

4- Sayginer Semih, 20 (Daikin 3C League, 2015)

A big run of 20 caroms from Turkish Semih Sayginer. Mr. Magic achieved it in April 2015 in the  Bilardo Max in Istanbul, disputing the Daikin league.

5- Frederic Caudron, 25-0 in 4 innings (Million Dollar Billiards, 2014)

Exhibition from Belgian player Frederic Caudron, who endorses a 25-0 to Korean Kim Jun Ho in just 4 innings. That is, an average of 6.25.

6- Dick Jaspers, 20 (World Games, 2009)

Down 26-18 in the semifinal of the World Games and Jaspers achieves a run of 20 caroms to come back and take the match against Dani Sánchez.

7- Marco Zanetti, 40 to 8 innings (Austrian National League Teams, 2012)

Italian player Marco Zanetti ended the match in 8 innings with an average of 5.25. But his best record is finishing in 6, as he achieved in 2014 in a match against Fasciana.

8- Torbjorn Blomdahl, 21 in 2 innings (Carom Cafe, 2012)

Another great inning from the Swedish player Blomdahl in the legendary Carom Cafe Billiards in New York. 21 caroms in 2 innings to lead the match.

9- Sang Lee, 14 (SL Billiards New York, 1994)

It is not one of the highest innings remembered but it is especial for one of the caroms in it. Beware the massé from Sang Lee (minute 6:45) to continue the streak. Before this inning the Korean player was losing 31-15 against Sayginer.

10- Dani Sanchez, 21 (Lausanne Billiard Masters, 2014)

We finish this compilation of mythical innings with the 21 caroms in a raw from the great Dani Sanchez. It was the highest one in the 2014 Lausanne Billiard Masters, a tournament in which he finished in third position.
